This article examines the integration of sharia principles into Indonesian Islamic economic development by highlighting the normative approach formulated by Ibn 'Ashur. This research uses a library research method through a review of Islamic economic works, Islamic legal philosophy literature, and academic research related to sharia-based economic development. This study focuses on how Ibn 'Ashur's construct of thought regarding the preservation of religion, life, intellect, lineage, and property (ad-daruriyyat al-khams) can serve as a normative foundation for designing inclusive, just, and public welfare-oriented economic policies. The main findings indicate that Ibn 'Ashur's thought not only provides an ethical framework for national development but also offers evaluative parameters for assessing the effectiveness of contemporary economic policies in achieving societal welfare. Thus, this article confirms that the integration of sharia objectives according to Ibn 'Ashur has the potential to become a strategic paradigm in strengthening the design of sustainable Islamic economic development in Indonesia.
